    What size SSD will it take, 2.5 or 1.8 and also does anyone have a guide on how to put it in? I saw in youtube that you have dissemble the keyboard. Anyone know?

    It uses 2.5" and it shouldn't be too difficult. I think there is a service manual on the HP website that explains how to do it.

    you don't have to disassemble the keyboard to put in the ssd.


    well, assuming you are just replacing your hdd.

    it's in the battery compartment. It's held down by four phillips head screws. and then it may be in a container/case/bay thing that has a few more screws you gotta unscrew.


    now if you're replacing the DVD drive with an ODD tray and your SSD, well yeah then you gotta take the whole top off I think.
