    Hi. I have a Hp envy 17 with 4.0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 657MHz (9-9-9-24) RAM and want to upgrade to 6 or 8 GB . Witch brand should i use etc?
    I have heard that i u put in a ram with wrong specs the computer will crash.

    Any DDR3 204 pin modules will work. I would stick with brand names like Corsair, Crucial, GSKill, Kingston.

    Make sure when you install your RAM that you run memtest or another benchmarking test to ensure system stability.

    Worst comes to worst, it won't POST then you test individual sticks, RMA appropriately.

    i would personally use the cheapest brand possible.. if u can get any of the Tsunade listed , i would get those... don't spend too much.. RAM is RAM.
