Hi there guys,
I just got a HP Folio 13 "ultrabook" , very nice machine, but again, I don't like the panel.
The stock panel is a Slim type 13.3" 1366x768 TN.
So I want to replace it.
I found an equivalent size panel that "might or may not" be compatible with it.
It's the LP133WD2 (SL) (B2) 1600x900 IPS panel.
That will be awesome to have that display in the Folio 13, so anyone tried this?
I am worried the Folio uses Single channel LVDS since it's a "semi-pro" laptop and no other resulution display is offered in this model...

I wish I could recommend that you should contact HP for specs and compatibility, but chances are a HP rep won't be of much help.
For what it's worth: HP Folio 13 spec sheet. It doesn't appear to list the video connection type, but hopefully something in there will be of some help. -
Sorry, but all HP "techs" are noobs, never got a single correct info from them...
The spec sheet didnt give anything etheir...
Gonna downoad the service manual, but surely nothing new there. -
okay, we have got an HP epic fail here.
I just started stripping it down, removed the LCD bezel, and noticed a FAIL.
The panel is part of the whole black bezel around the LCD; the glossy black part like seen here:
This in NOT a glass panel in front of the LCD.
They have done like Apple and its Macbook Pro Retina... so I am married with this LCD for the life of this Folio... -
I can live wtih the screen.. the god awful fan noise is what kills me!
