I would like to get other's thoughts on tweaking Win7 to optimize the MXT. I'm using SSD Tweaker to get this done: SSD Tweaker

Since Win7 doesn't classify this drive as an SSD, you are actually allowed to still have a ReadyBoost device, unlike when you have a standard SSD. Also, since the MXT only uses the NAND for Read ops, should certain Win7 tweaks be used differently from a standard SSD?

The XT still benefits from each and everyone of those tweaks (don't do them!!!) - especially if your usage style demands it (for example 8.3 name creation if you're copying/moving to fat storage volumes, etc.).

You are simply wasting your time with those 'tweaks'.

The best tweak for any mechanical HDD (hybrid or otherwise) is short-stroking/partitioning. And defragging with PerfectDisk Pro 11/12 (on a hybrid once a month is sufficient - otherwise, you're forcing the nand to 'learn' much too often).
