80 views and no replies. Surely someone has bought the ram in this forum and knows of the memory runs at 1T or 2T.

Chill out man. Give it 24 hours. You think out of 80 random people on this forum, there is going to be at least one that has that RAM installed in their laptop right now and can be bothered to take a CPU-Z screenshot, not to mention within two minutes of you making the thread?

Have you tried using google to see if anyone has tried out the ram or if there is a review of it?

    Google it.

I found the answer in about 10 seconds using Google.

I Googled it too but it does not confirm the timings. I just want to decide before the promo ends that's all...oh well.

Not that it makes any difference but in my machine it's 1T.

    Thanks, Meaker.

Can you take a screenshot of CPU-Z showing the 1T timing, most 2 x 4GB kits are 2T DDR3-1333/1600 with more relaxed timings.

Thanks for the screenshots, NewEgg is out of stock and I missed the promo. Guess I'll just wait till they get these back in stock and the new Momentus XT 750GB's.

I was planning on getting a Intel 80Gb mSATA SSD keeping my stock 4GB DDR-1333 but after some careful thoughts, I think I'm better off with 8GB HyperX DDR3-1600 and the new 750GB Momentus XT 8GB/NAND for the same price.

This should keep my system future proof even if I plan on upgrading to Windows 8.

Why is the memory going to make such a difference?

Then you are better off with the 1866Mhz modules. Bandwidth matters more for the gfx than the latencies.

Just can't justify the cost for DDR3-1866, 1600 will do fine since the timings are pretty much the same as DDR3-1333 and the price is not too bad.

IMO, DDR3-1866 is overpriced. The performance increase from 1333 to 1600 is more than 1600 to 1866 but of course from 1333 to 1866 is the best if one can afford it.

I'd rather save the cash and put it into the 750GB XT when it's released.
