So I was just wondering why it says my HyperX is running at PC3-14200 or 1780Mhz instead of 1866? Or is this number normal? I haven't touched any memory settings on the BIOS since from my understanding, you don't have to. Do I have to change anything or is this normal? You can see my specs on my sig..I've attached screen shots of memory and SPD below with CPU-Z for reference. Thanks!

    That´s normal. It´s because cpu-z can´t read ddr3 properly.

DDR Double Data Rate - Double that figure and you have the frequency your RAM is at.

Unfortunately expensive high speed ram does not actually give you any humanly noticeable performance boosts so its not like you would know if it was running slower. So that sceenshot its about all its worth.

It is DoubleDataRam (DDR), two operations per cycle > RAM is running at 933Mhz times 2 effectively.
So yes everything is as it should be! :)

Edit: Ops someone else was faster ;)
