I have a 4 years old Clevo D900k mobo based laptop. My nVidia GF-Go7800-GTX-A2 doesn't work anymore.

    Any suggestion (s)?

I might end up doing that, but for the moment I would like to investigate if I can find another video card for my mobo.

wirelessman, I answered your question in your other thread. There are a number of different graphics cards which work with this system.
Although I have had nothing but bad luck with my D900K, there are parts out there, and i can help you find what you need.

Thank you buddy, any help will be appreciated.

I heard about that, and I will do it, but before I would like to know if I can have it refurbished.

Talking about baking it, what temperature and time?

Can I fry it? :D (I love French fries)

you would be best finding the proper guide but its like 200C for 10 minutes and then test to see if it works sometimes it takes a few attempts

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=437683

thats a link for one guide although people tend to try different temperatures and amounts of time

Hey K tron, I am wondering if you ever had any motherboard or Video vard issues with a Alienware Aurora M7700 with a motherboard (Clevo D900K VT8341B).

    Hi jav2008
I have had a lot of issues with my D900K in general
I did have my Quadro FX2500M die on me about 4 months into ownership
I had 6 motherboards for my system.
The first was the one from Clevo. The second through 6th were from Z-TRONICS. The first motherboard stopped working because I was informed by one member here to upgrade to BIOS revision 1.00.10b. That bricked that motherboard. The second motherboard came, tried again. Bricked that board. Third board came, tried yet again - bricked it. After that I decided not to trust Gophn's advice again. The 4th motherboard I bought ran okay but lacked SATA 300 drive support since it was a version 4.8 motherboard.
My 6th and final motherboard is a version 5.1 board which is running fine.
After the install of the 6th board I used it for about 20 minutes, and the system has been inactive since. That is a good year or so now of not being used.
Now that it is working, I have decided that it is time to sell it. So it will be up for sale on ebay within a month or so.

if you are looking for a newer motherboard. Look for version 5.1 or 5.2, they are the newest motherboards for the system. Please do not ever update the BIOS past 1.00.09, and do not upgrade the keyboard bios past 1.00.04 for the D900K. DO not run AMD Opterons in it, as that causes stability issues, which have no fix other than swapping it for an AMD Athlon X2 processor.

    Good Luck,

    K-TRON
