    I am thinking my Express card slot maybe dead?

    I had a Express card 54 card read stopped working and now my backup one which is a Express card 34 give usb errors using Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. I can plug my camera in to usb slot and no issues. Could it be my express slot?

    Check if theres any foreign objects in the slot first.

    There isn't. I put my card reader in and my laptop sees it find then after few secs or mintues I get USB error.
