    The screen on my friend's HP is only working on half. Like the computer boots fine and everything, but the bottom half of the screen is grey while the top half displays fine. It hasn't been dropped or anything and it just started doing it.

    Anyone have any idea? I think it could be the connection only being connected partially but I am not sure.

    Pictures would do well in this thread.

    Likely the ribbon cable from the monitor to the GFX card or mobo (if integrated GFX) is a bit loose. Either that or the GFX might be a bit unseated.
