Pretty cool, I liked the first link the most.
That is really a good idea, it takes a lot of time, but the results seemed really worth it for the modder.

I agree. The first one is the neatest.
I'm just trying to emagine how cool my laptop will be with a water cooling system.
my CPU fan is always ON (can't change it as it seems to be locked in the bios), with an ambiant temperature today @ 35c my CPU is @ 45c when I surf the web. With water cooling my temperature will be @ 15-20c

liquid cooling is coming in a much more compact form (compared to these cave-man designs in the links)....it will take at least 2-3 more years.
really there's no problem with using fans for cooling a machine, provided the machine is in a climatized room for most of the time.... -
They actually had a miniaturized version of phase-shift cooling for laptops done a few months ago... I wish I could find the link to it now!
-
not worth it.
buy a small fridge, and put the laptop inside. Then connect external monitor, KBD, mouse, DVD, headphones .. etc (I have all) though a small hole on the fridge, and play
on the side note, you can also put couple beers in there -
mirogt, the condensation from the refrigerator would kill the system
Its a great idea, but I wont try it yet. I am putting hybrid cooling in my custom made laptop which I will start next summer. Something has to cool the 16 cores I want to have in their.

Hey K-tron, I thought you already had something like that in you half ton Voodoo?
-
what type of liquid are they planning to use? water or something else?
A link will be useful.
Did you test the fridge tip yourself?
I think the did they water cooling project for fun.
What do you mean by hyprid coolling?
Are you building your own laptop next summer? would be nice to have few details. -
Yeah and they all look fantastic.
I always wanted a car radiator attached to my laptop.

Found the links for the phase change cooler for the laptop

I haven't seen this from this perspective.
I don't think that a laptop can get any COOLER than this
