It is cheap and a no name brand but I'm wondering if anyones tried or heard of it. I'm buying my laptop soon, and I might try this stuff out if anyones heard of it. From what I've gathered CAS latency 4 would make a fairly big difference. Let me know what you guys think.

yeah Ill be waiting for a better brand too. I went cheap on ram once.....and I regreted it. Dont make the same mistake. Now getting value ram from a good manufacture is different then saving money by buying a no name brand.

Some laptops might have problems with the lower latency (especially dells), but i would assume it would work in sager's gaming beasts lol.

Simple question: is dual channel possible with two modules of identical make, size, and speed but different latency?

Nope they have to be near identical in all forms.

Near-identical or identical? There could be a huge difference, especially price-wise...

It does not need to be identical to run dual channel. I am currently using a laptop in dual channel with 2 sticks from different manufacturers and different speeds. The faster memory will run at the same latency as the slowest one.

Understood. I knew that applied to frequency but not to latency as well. Thanks for the clarification. :)
