Hi, i want to overclock my acer 6920g cpu (t8100). I have been searching a lot for the datasheet but today i found it:
    digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/020/T8100.php
Is this all that's needed for it to be added to SetFSB or does he need something else?

You need the datasheet of the clock generator chip not the CPU. When you find the correct datasheet, check SetFSB for the author's e-mail. Send the datasheet to that e-mail.

Is the clock generator just for the acer 6920g or does some other laptops have the same clockgen? Doesnt this datasheet help at all with adding support in SetFSB?

No its not gonna help at all. I am not sure but I think the 6920 has the ICS9LPRS365 clock gen. Try searching for its datasheet.

Thanks for finding this! But the setfsb developer says he cannot add support for the PLL, not even with the datasheet :(
    He replied with this:
"Hmm..., ICS9LPRS365 does not work though I tried this in the past. I can not
    support it now."
    :(

Crap, that was wierd, anyways... I suspect that the ICS9LPRS365 COULD be enabled, the issue quoted from the developer several times has been that the TME mode is enabled, TME disables all FSB adjustment other than the hard coded FSB set by the pin inputs of the PLL. There is at least one way around it (hard modification to disable the TME signal at boot time) or possibly a BIOS mod, I wouldn't be surprised if this is implemented in BIOS so it can be removed for "extreme" overclockable models should one be made or desired to be made from the reference board in question.
