Basically I didn't know my bottle of fizzy drink had soo much gas inside so when I opened up the bottle lid I noticed a few drops of water(3-4,pea size or even smaller) went on the palm rest so after noticing I immediately wiped it off with dry tissue and that was all.

My question is Have I damaged my laptop by having 3-4 pea size or smaller liquid on the palm rest damage the laptop or cause rust on the aluminium palm rest?

    hi
most probably not BUT if it got onto the keyboard then it could seep through to all the electrics below.
if you do get rust on the palmrest then you will most probably enter the guiness book of world records for the first ever rusty lappy :D

Was you laptop on when this happened? And was the battery and power connected? Usually any thing sugar is a recipe for damaged computer regardless of how much cleaning you do static short will happen when liquid is spilled on a laptop. That spill on the palmrest if it got below the right/left click buttons your chances you might have shorted out the system and will have problems latter on. Any kinda liquid spills on laptop is not a good thing to have keyboard or plamrest that will mean problems later on. First advice keep food/drinks away from laptops and separate those two things if you want to keep your laptop for it's lifespan usage.

Yes the laptop is damaged, PM me I'll give you the address to send it for recycling...................... :) J/K so long as on the outer surface and not into a movable area like a track pad button you should be fine. You should power down though and clean the area of contact with 97% alcohol to be sure there is no stickiness there..............
