(If this is wrong section I apologize in advance)
    Hi,
I wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied my question like a week ago. As of right now I'm still deciding what laptop to get.

I did have a question, though, pertaining to I/O. What is the difference between a CRT out and a VGA out? They look the same, but are they cross compatible? Having the VGA out has been important to me. I have been hooking up my laptop to projectors at school through VGA cords.

The laptop that specifically says CRT out is the NP5160

CRT is a type of monitor not a type of output.

VGA is the type of connection (uses a DB15 connector) and is used for CRT monitors usually and is still highly in use for newer LCD monitors as well.
