    how does the core 2 duo T7600g compare to the core 2 extreme x7800 if the core 2 duo t7600g were clocked at the same speed as the core 2 extreme x7800 :confused:

    I also cant find much benchmarks for the t7600g so was it a special cpu for just for the xps m1710?

    A T7600G and X7800 clocked at the same speed should basically perform the same. They use the same Merom die. The slower FSB on the T7600G might hinder it a little, but I don't think it is a huge practical difference. I would assume the T7600G got put in other laptops in addition to the M1710, but it's just really rare in general. At stock speeds the performance should be identical to a regular T7600.

    Thank you very much :) I was thinking maybe down the purchasing a t7600g for my laptop one day I wish it was called the core 2 extreme though :( since it seems the same -__-
