    Which one is better?
    T6400 2.00Ghz
    OR
    Intel Pentium 4 3.00Ghz

Does it matter if its old model and the newer is more better than the old?
Does it also matter if the old High Ghz is better than the New Ghz?
    T6400 > Intel Pentium = True?

T6400 is much better than the Pentium 4.

    Wait, what?

Fast-clocked single core is going to be outperformed by slow[er]-clocked dual-core in everyday use.

And clock-for-clock the Core Series is faster than the Pentium 4 as well.

    I think he's being sarcastic.

Anyway, Core2's DECIMATE Pentium 4's. P4's are generations old and judging CPU performance by clockspeed now a days is an outdated practice.

What MrX8503 said, P4's are old.
    Go with the (Intel® Core™2 Duo) T6400 :)

Core 2 Duo will make mincemeat out of any P4!

Clock speed is only useful as a measurement if you're comparing like with like - a P4 at 3.0GHz would be faster than a P4 at 2.0Ghz, for example.

A good analogy would be to think of engine RPM. A 2.0l engine running at 4000RPM is unlikely to produce as much power as a 5.0l engine running at 3000RPM, even though the 5.0l engine is going "slower".
