I do not know how to get it to work, I tried updating the driver and it did but it does not work, and I can not find the option to use it either. My friend and I also tried a webcam talk through aim but he said he got the message that I did not have a webcam connected.![]()
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv2415nr.
Any help would be so great. Thanks for reading!!

did you use have your OS automatically look for drivers and update on its own? Try doing a manual update yourself. head to the HP support site and find their cam drivers. Confirm that the new driver you will be installing is indeed newer by looking at the version number. If so then down and double click the setup exe.
If that doesnt work then maybe the new drivers simply dont work. Roll back the drivers and try then.
Did your system ship with any HP cam software. My asus for instance came with a program known as lifeframe. If HP has something similar, try seeing if your cam works in that prog. -
Yay!! Driver update worked. Sorry I'm really new at these things but now I know where to ask questions if I get really stuck, and I'll make sure to use the search function first.
Thanks Guys!!
