My cousins keyboard is not doing its job. Whenever she types the letter "e", it's displayed by the number 5 instead on the screen and this applies to other letters on the keyboard as well. I check her language tab and adjusted it properly. I doubt she has a virus on her PC. I am curios if I could adjust windows to default setting.

More seriously, it sounds like you might be having driver problems. Is this a standard keyboard? Is it plugged in completely properly? Do any of the keys work right?

It's a acer notebook PC. The keys work properly. It's a brand new notebook.
THe problem is when the user provides an input such as e, the wrong output is displayed on the screen. THus it's in the software. -
Does w do 4 ad r do 6? Your'e problem sure sounds like it's due to num lock being on. Though I guess you've already checked that.
it does this in all programs? Does it happen with external keyboards? -

This is silly, but have you tryed rebooting the notebook? Maybe it's hot keys or sticky keys. I'm going to move this to the hardware forum and try it out there. It should get more responses there.
I need help peoples !
