    Hey, im new hear. Forgive me if this is the wrong thread. I was querying the price of RAM for my laptop. Its specs are as follows

    " PC Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHz, 448 Mbs of Ram "

    When i was buying ram for my desktop, i was told there was different types of RAM please could somebody point me in the right direction please. Many thanks, any rough prices also.

    I would go to www.crucial.com and search for your RAM. Its very easy. It will ask who made your laptop, and which laptop it is. Then it will give you a list of RAM made by crucial which is a very good brand.

    yeah, as southerngirl said crucial.com is the site to go for buying RAM another think i wanna add on is that make sure that you don't put too much RAM for your laptop, cos different motherbroads have their limit mb for RAM.there is no point to put 2 GB in if your laptop can only support 1GB. :)
