    ok long story short.
I accidentally formatted my external drive.
so I followed the instructions for recovery of a formatted partition
and it found the partitions and files but I can't get the drive to show up in my computer. It shows up in Disk Management as RAW.

These are the instructions I followed.

I've already copied the files using getdataback & I wanted to know if it's realistic to be able to recover the hard drive w/o formatting & just copying the files back.

Can the partition table etc be recovered/restored so I could once again access the files?
