    This CPU appears to use socket FS1 (what does visual inspection and CPU-z indicate?) and other potentially compatible CPUs are listed here. However, whether another CPU would work will depend on whether specific BIOS support is needed.

    You can get an indication of the possible increased in performance using the notebookcheck mobile CPU benchmark list.
