    hi..

I'm interest buying a SSD for my m1330. i think 64gb is enough.

buy when i was searching newegg.com, i want a 32 gb or 64gb, but the prices range is too big.. like the 64gb one, from 160 usd to 800 usd O_O

what's the difference? any advice or suggestion?

will it fit my m1330? since the size they r showing in specs is difference, like one is 3.94'' other is 3.4''

    thanx

for the love of your money, my quick answer would be

    Get only the following
    1. 32GB/64GB Samsung (Rebranded as OCZ, G Skill, A-DATA) SLC (all have aluminum cover)
    2. Intel X25-M 80GB MLC

    All others are no good

This Patriot SSD is a typical BAD MLC SSD. Although it has great sequential read/write speed, it has an unacceptable random write speed. Your system will freeze often with this SSD.

If you are willing to spend $270ish USD, get the 32GB Samsung SATA II SLC SSD (also branded as OCZ, A-DATA, G.SKill). You will love it.

Samsung is South Korean. The 128 GB supertalent SSD that I use in my T400 is fast.

I'm using the 128gb version, and love it. I recomend it without reservation. That being said, before you go out and buy a SSD, read up on it. There are issues you should be aware of.

Is it possible that there will be somewhat moderately priced 128GB SLC SSDs early on in 2009?

depends how you define moderately priced... but probably not, based on cost of SLC flash memory itself.
