Can anyone tell me if it is possible to swap a ibm t22 800mhz cpu with a 1.13mhz from a t23. Should I just try it or will it harm my board?

From what I searched, the 800MHz CPU is a coppermine CPU while the 1.13 is Pentium M, which means that they have different sockets : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_CPU_slots_and_sockets
If they are both in working condition.
Download and install CPU-Z utility on both of them.
    Their socket is written there.

The T22 has a Pentium III and the T23 a Pentium III M. Also the T22 has a FSB of 100mhz and the T23 a FSB of 133mhz. The T22 will not support the any Pentium III m however there are Pentium III (no m) of up to 1ghz available for it.

A faster hard drive or more memory will likely yield bigger performance increases.
