Hi, Im trying to increase the memory capacity of my T23, however it doesnt seem to want to recognise one of the ram slots. It originally came with 256 and Ive just taken delivery of a 512. IBM state that its good for 1g+.
If I put the 256 in the known "good" slot, then thats what the memeory is. Same with the 512, however it doesnt want to blow out to 768.
Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why this may be happening, other than the obvious dead slot. Thanks in advance....

got home, updated BIOS etc. Tried the bad slot, turned on the lappy and all it did was beep at me several times. Didnt start up. Just sat there with its alzheimers. Any ideas on how to get the bad slot working again ???
