Hi,
Anyone know if the processor on my T42 is upgradable? My machine type is 2378-FVU. If so where can I get say a 2.0GHz cpu?
Thanx
Sam

You want to pay $450 to upgrade from a 1.7Ghz CPU to a 2.0Ghz CPU. You do realize that all Pentium M machines slow the CPU to 600Mhz when you are not plugged into the wall or doing anything CPU intensive. Is there some reason you need this? If you want to increase the performance of your notebook, a faster hard drive or more memory will help more than a few hundred Mhz on the processor. Personally, I'd put the money toward my next notebook. Good Luck.
I know things, things that could get me killed

NewEgg has the 2.0GHz for $437.00 shipped @ <http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-111-161&depa=1>. So grab the 2.0GHz (I will when I can get the funds), plug your box into a wall and start compiling kernels...
