Is it true that all business class laptops have a "joystick" feature between the H and G key??

I noticed that IBM has them and some of the lattitudes have them as well.

I played with IBM's joystick at Staples, and it was awesome IMO. Do you guys have anything negative to say about this feature?

sure, that's very good to use.

Yeah it actually comes in handy sometimes. Personally, I've just gotten used to thumbing the touchpad.

Well, there's no disadvantage of it, and yes many business laptops have the feature along with a touchpad. By the way, its called a pointing stick or trackpoint :p.

I personally prefer a touchpad better, but there's no negative effects of having it here. Its more convenient for others.

Its good to hear that there are no negative apsects of having the "track point."

Sure its convienent using the touchpad, but being able to brows the web with trackpoint while ur fingers are on the keyboard is uncomparable! Maybe I can post twice as many posts here!

Well, here's one negative point: I regularly tipped half way on it and half way on the G/H key when typing realy fast. It annoyed me But since I didn't use that point stick anyway, I just removed its rubber cap. Problem solved. :)

I like trackpoints. I find them much easier to click, highlight & drag than touchpads.

When discussing IBM trackpoints, please be sure to use the correct terminology (easily offended people, don't click. It is perfectly safe for work, though.)
