Hey guys,
For anyone who has purchased the IC Diamond 7 Carat (1.5g per tube). How many applications can you do before it runs out? I understand you should place a 5mm pea size drop on the CPU/GPU.
On a side note, if anyone happens to know the density of the stuff, I could use that to calculate the number of applications.
Thanks,
Josh

I use the big tube (4.8g), and get at least a dozen applications, so 4-5 is realistic. I tend to use more than 5mm size pea though. With laptop CPU's you need to ensure the entire die gets covered so in that case it's better to use a little more to ensure coverage. I actually run a line of goop down the middle of the CPU or GPU and apply a little pressure by hand, and hold that pressure while I secure the screws.

Not sure on the IC Diamond but I've used a comparable sized tube of Antec Formula 6 - Nano Diamond compound, and it has lasted me several applications (going on 4-5). I'd say you should get roughly half a dozen (perhaps more) applications out of a 1.5g tube.

At least 5 applications on a laptop and 2 on a desktop CPU, still had some left after that.

It really depends on how you apply it. If you use an actual pea sized blob, it is going to run out real fast. If you use a tiny tiny bit and spread it out super thin with a razor blade, it can last you many many more times.
