Okay, it's me again. I found out that my problem is that I need to have an IDE cable replaced. A sony support person told me this, and said I needed to do this. When i tried to recover the c drive an error window popped up saying "disc access: failure..." With sony it would cost me 280 dollars to get it fixed and I just don't have that kind of money laying around. Does anybody know about this problem and if this can be done cheaper? Does this sound familiar with anybody?
