Hi,
I've bought a Dell Precision M6500 with IDT Onboard Sound Chip (IDT 92HD81B1C).My OS is Win 7 64bit.
Unfortunatelly this Chip does not support "What You hear/Stereomix" function".
(Greetings from the music industry:wink: )
Is it possible to get an alternative driver which includes this function or can I use an external USB Soundcard?

If you're in the music industry, I'd really suggest getting an external sound card anyway. I'm surprised you don't have one already.

must be something mess up with your install. try reinstalling the latest driver.
Drivers and Downloads
your program might be incompatible with Win7 as well. -
drivers must be problem but generally IDT supports not many functions... u might need external soundcard...its not that expensive considering u have bought an M6500..

IDT supports loopback though fo sure. There should be also a recording device called "Rec. Playback" and if the app supports Vista/7 it should be able to use XAudio API to do it.

Thank you for your replies.

I am not in the music industry.
With my statement I only wanted to say that the music industry is definately not interested in IDT sound chips supporting " what you hear " record functions.
gaah
I`ve tried the latest driver and surprisingly it works but with a little drawback:The record output level is directly linked to the precison speaker output level.High record level also means high loudspeaker volume.
Thank You for Your support
