    Hi,
I've bought a Dell Precision M6500 with IDT Onboard Sound Chip (IDT 92HD81B1C).My OS is Win 7 64bit.
Unfortunatelly this Chip does not support "What You hear/Stereomix" function".
(Greetings from the music industry:wink: )

Is it possible to get an alternative driver which includes this function or can I use an external USB Soundcard?

    Greetings from Germany

If you're in the music industry, I'd really suggest getting an external sound card anyway. I'm surprised you don't have one already.

IDT supports loopback though fo sure. There should be also a recording device called "Rec. Playback" and if the app supports Vista/7 it should be able to use XAudio API to do it.

I am not in the music industry.
With my statement I only wanted to say that the music industry is definately not interested in IDT sound chips supporting " what you hear " record functions.

I`ve tried the latest driver and surprisingly it works but with a little drawback:The record output level is directly linked to the precison speaker output level.High record level also means high loudspeaker volume.

    Thank You for Your support
