Hi,
I've recently bought an Asus A6Jc and I'm not sure if it has an IRda port or not.
The thing is that in the product specification an my reseller's home page it says it has IR. Also, I have some sort of square thingon the notebook side, but I don't know if that's the actual receiver, or if it's just a plastic covering the hole.
I can't find it in the Device Manager... however I don't know how it would be named there...
Thanks,
German

Is this what that plastic covering looks like?

If so, yes, that is the IR port.
According to the Asus A6J's review, it has it...I am not so sure about A6Jc.

Yeah!!! That's just how it looks like!!
THe thing is I've downloaded a trial version of Girder (soft. to control remote controls) and when it had to recognise my remote, nothing was happening...
Any other software to enable any remote on my computer??? (tv remote, etc) -
Well, I found something like this: http://sphinx-soft.com/IrRC/index.html
