    seriously what would i need to re-vamp this comp?

    I really only need it able to plat Battlefield Bad Company 2

    That gpu should be fine playing it at low resolution and low/med settings, the game is pretty cpu intensive though. You could try upgrading to a faster core 2.

    Your GPU is limiting your performance. Could sell the system and get a cheap MSI GT627/G50VT/G51VX with a 9800M or GTX260M.. Or consider a DIY ViDock.

    At which resolution are you trying to play the game?
    If it's the native resolution (1920x1080), then it's fairly obvious you need to lower the resolution down to manageable levels so the 9600 (which is a mid-range gpu) can cope with it.
    Try running the game in 1280x800, or 1440x ... (forgot which one) and set the details to high ... or lower them to medium.

    i really want the full experience of the game however it seems to be the problem is with the graphics card, i would really like to play on 1920x1080 HD

    Is there any way i can just replace the graphics card for a better one?

    no there isn't but if u really want to play on full HD res , u need a new laptop.. the best and cheapest one will be Asus G73... 17 incher... it should easily play on high settings on full HD res... u can sell this HDX and just pay for the rest... Asus G73 is from $1499...

    i dont really want to sell this laptop its not even a year old yet isnt their anything i could do?

    and if i cant play with HD whats the recommended rez for BBC2?

    1366X768, 1440X900... u can't expect much more... like i said , u can get 1K for this so spending about 500 more will get u Asus G73...
