Many thanks I think I will just get my self a GT 240M, will it be as simple as plug in and use it? or would I have to update my bios? Do you know of any issues I might have?
After thinking, I decided not to buy the HD4670 because of the over heating issues, I would like to play games on my Acer 6920g with out having to worry about frying my laptop. I will sell it at some point to buy an ultra book. So do you see me having any issues with a GT 240M?
    Thanks
    George

I'm not sure this will work. Asus has used reversed MXM modules in the past, and sometimes the VBIOS is in the BIOS itself. I'm not sure about the C90p, but just a heads up.

I have this same card in my Acer 5920G as does TriTurbo as well. They didn't ALWAYS reverse the MXM design, just for a long while.

I updated my bios just in case but, as far as i know it's not required, i also updated my bios to the unofficial bios provided by NetRoller3D.

The BIOS update is not needed, not to mention that it's risky. It would run just fine on the stock BIOS. So, get the card, a copper shim, bigger head screws, MX-4 (or other paste of choice) and you're good to go.
