    Hi All

I have an Alienware Mx15 with the geforce 9800m gt graphics card and 4 gb 400hzt ram running Win7(64bit).

My main use of this machine is gaming and it has always been fine on World of warcraft getting 50-80 fps most of the time.

Recently i started in the SWTOR beta and i olny get an average of 11 fps and it has been much lower than this at times.

Having read some of the forums here i tryed to upgrade my graphics card driver and i thought this was the one i needed:

    Display_Nvidia_VSW7_32_280.26_8.17.12.8026

But when i tried to install is i was told i am not using the 64bit version of
    win7, which i am sure i am.

As i am not the most technical person when it comes to hardware is there anything i can do to improve things or is it simply time to buy a new laptop ?

Many thanks inadvance for your help

A faster processor and overclocking the videocard are pretty much all you can do to improve your framerates.

if this is the old Alienware M15x the one before Alienware was bought by dell. it should be made out of plastic while the new one if made out of metal. if you do have the old one and i'm inclined to believe you do as you have the 9800 gt you cant upgrade the drivers past nvidia drivers 180 something it has something to do with nvidia dropping driver support for the switchable graphics in that laptop.

Also this post should be in the Alienware legacy laptop forum really
