    what is meant by the commit charge- yes i read a thread about it, but i swear 2 days ago it read about 423 outta 800+

    nows its 2387??? any reason why?

    btw i do have 1GB (1024) of ram

    That's completly normal.
    It adds your RAM + swap file.

    but does this mean the computer is running at full power instead of only half?

    and was i dreamin when i thought it read only 800?

    Windows automatically adjusts the size of its page file by default.

    It simply shows how much virtual memory is in use, compared to how much is currently available. As BENDER said, by default Windows will control the pagefile size automatically.

    And it doesn't really matter what these numbers are. As long as the first one isn't as big as the second, all is well.
