I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 working beautifully under WIndows 7 Ultimate, and I want to make it a DVR. I already have the Dell/Philips OEM Media Center remote that comes with most XPS systems like the XPS One. Can I make these IrDA dongles work with the RC6 consumer IR signal with a little driver finesse?

If not, where can I buy the Microsoft USB IR blaster separately and on the cheap, before I have to resort to $20 used ones off of eBay?
