My Hitachi Ultrastar 15K300 HUS153030VL3800 is no longer working,
I need a new controller board to get it working again.
The motor looks like it is fine, and powers up, so the problem must be the circuit board.

The board has two numbers on it:
    001-0B22485-R1
and on the flipside of the board : 006-0B22485-R1

I hope someone knows where to get one
This board is the Ultra 320 SCSI 80 pin model. A SAS version of the 15k300 board will work as well.

Post an ad requesting for an circuit board on craigslist. You can also go to your local computer store and check out their collection of broken drive.

Also, you don't need the exact model number for the PCB. Any PCB from that series of hdd should work.

I sold an HDD on ebay , and all the buyer wanted it for was the PCB to rescue his data of his faulty drive.

Well I have already checked craigslist and ebay

Problem is, its an enterprise drive, so there arent many of them floating around.

I emailed Hitachi, hopefully they can sell me just the circuit board for it

If anyone finds one, please provide a link, and I will rep you with 37 rep points :D

You might try some of the Data Recovery Services that advertise all over the net. Many of them repair/replace the logic boards to be able to recover data, and might be able to sell you one or point you to somewhere you can buy one.

You are the closest to the right direction.
The guys from Hitachi told me basically the same thing. They gave me a list of their data recovery specialists, for me to contact.

Apparently they do not sell the controller boards separately
