This was the reading I got from HWMonitor this morning. How can my processor be 10 degrees when room temperature is like 14?

No it shouldn't, The cooler it runs, the better.

But yeah, try Speedfan, RealTemp, CoreTemp, etc. If they all give the same readings you either have an awesome cooling setup or dodgy sensors. But its an acer, so its most likely dodgy sensors.

The only way your CPU temperature would be 10C is if your laptop had a built-in air conditioner.

Smooth I wanted to jump in on that. And the comment cooler is always better? Yea unless it lacks sense. OK kids yes at the point of evaporation it is cooler than the surrounding. That is why humans sweat and the only way you could have lower than ambient temp. But trust me ain't going to happen. Shorting would happen first. Smooth is correct!

I got 0°C today on mine when the room temp would be above 20. Try realtemp. I showed me that hardware moniter is 15°C below the real temp. That would make more senses

SpeedFan works well, and if it doesn't work for you, you might want to try i8kfan, which specializes in Dell usability, but might work for you just as well.
