Acer 5720, webcam is the crystal eye. Windows Vista Home.

Cam is detected fine in device manager says it's working ok. I reinstalled driver as well.

Everything seems ok but when i run acer arcade deluxe, or just the acer crystal eye icon from the desktop, hence to run the software, then nothing appears on software. The light on the cam doesn't come on either. You would think that the cam is broken but then as i said it seems to be detected fine in DM.

    Any ideas?

Try Yawcam, see if it works in that. I used to use that before I did a clean install and just used Asus Lifeframe.
