On my Ferrari 4005WLMi, I am using a Logitech Click! external mouse, and when I have its driver installed, my touchpad moves so little across the screen. It takes about 5 full horizontal strokes to get from one side to the other. Anyone dealt with this before?

Under the mouse properties "Motion" tab, when my mouse is plugged in, I have cursor speed set to second highest. When I unplug the mouse, it drops to minimum, and when I try to change it, it moves back to minimum right away.

Did you install Logitech SetPoint for the mouse? If so then that is why. The touchpad and mouse cannot be different speeds.

I have the same problem. When I have a Logitech mouse plugged in, the touchpad is slow. If you set the speed to its maximum you will notice that it is very hard to control the Logitech mouse. i have not found a way to resolve this. Even the SetPoint or OS Implementation options in Logitech SetPoint do not help.

There really isn't much you can do. Personally I would just buy a cheap wirless mouse that isn't Logitech and one that doesn't install any software, and set it to max, then you wouldn't have that problem.
