    I just purchased a Western Digital USB 2.0 500 GB Mybook and I'm seeing some speed inconsistancies between Vista and XP. When I run HD Tune in XP (On my 1 year old desktop) I get this

    When I run HD Tune in Vista on my Toshiba laptop I get this

    (oops, didnt let it finish)
    What can cause this difference? I'm using the same cable too. No other USB devices are plugged on both computers.
