So, I ordered a laptop yesterday, and I figured id do more research just in case I made a mistake on it. But, I can't seem to find any info on the T-62 (2.1ghz) why is this? Its not on AMD's website :(

Also does anyone have a good site that compares the core 2 duos to the Turions, im just curious, because I saved about 350 by going with the Turion TL-62 instead of a 7250 C2D, but im still wondering if its worth it to get one with a cd cause I can still return the order.

And hey, I really appreciate the people responding for the help so far!

Probably around a 1.7-1.8GHz one depending on what exactly you are doing with it.

That's exactly what I want to know too! I'm sure there is some processor Guru on here that can shed some more light on it. All I can find is info on the TL 60, or TL 64.

Read my post above. Also, search around for the wprime benchmark. It's the multicore equivalent of super pi, and it shows how the TLs perform vs the Core 2s

The TL-62 has been around for months. I almost ordered a laptop with one in June.

I'd definitely save the $350 over the T7250. The TL-62 is equivalent to the T7100 (1.8 GHz) from Intel in most real-world performance, and $350 to go from the T7100 to the T7250 would be a huge ripoff. The money has been well-saved.

In pure number-crunching, the TL-62 is between the T7300 (2.00 GHz) and T7500 (2.20 GHz) in performance, probably slightly closer to the T7500.

AMD does have a TL-66 at 2.3 GHz as well. That's the best one AFAIK.

It's managed to max out every game i've played so far alongside the 2GB ram and X1650XT. The latest game I've tried is GRAW2 and that's maxed at 1440*900.

    Seems quick enough...
