My laptop has an infrared port, but I can't seem to get it to work. I thought it might be disabled so I went to device manager, and I didn't see anything that said infrared. Can someone help. I'm running Windows Vista.
    Thanks.

Infrared ports are a dying technology. They were the "hot" new thing 5 years ago when a 64Mb memory stick cost 250$. Their transfer rate is deadly slow and it's not 100% stable. Using a 15$ 1Gb memory stick will be much more efficient.

That doesn't help. Does someone know how I can get the infrared working. I want to transfer pictures from my cell phone and it only has infrared to do that.
