:D Inside the Asus XG Station :D

Let me say that since gaming has been progressing on notebooks and people wanting to have power on the go to play hardcore game, "Its about time."

With the news of Asus XG Station from a while ago, it gave many people with basic notebooks (W/ ExpressCard Slot) a chance to have a gaming upgrade that could be worth it [but it might be costly if you spend more money to switch out the stock 7900GS with another videocard].

The inside of the Asus XG just looks great, like an external enclosure for videocards, maybe other manufacturers might design similar ones to give Asus some competition.

As you can see in the pics, the Asus XG truly has a basic PCI-E X16 slot within, and a ASUS EN7900GS (that comes with the XG when purchased). So you can technically change out videocards to stick in a high-end 8800 GTS/GT/GTX. However looking at the pictures, the heatsinks' sizes have to be small enough for the Asus XG's casing to close correctly, but I guess you can mod the heatsink/fan or replace it to have it working. ;)
