    it will downclock it if it dosnt support up to 800mhz , depends on the processor+ motherboard

    The Inspiron 1520 nor any other Santa Rosa (Intel 965 chipset-based) notebook will run 800MHz RAM. The chipset only supports up to 667MHz so even if you install 800MHz, it will run at 667. Buy 667.

    Currently there is no Intel notebook chipset which supports 800Mhz RAM, at least officially.
