Hi, I currently have 2gb of RAM in my Inspiron 1720 - each stick being 1024mb.

I want to find a cheap upgrade for 2x2gb sticks and I am unsure what type of RAM the Inspiron 1720 can handle lol..

Also, if anyone posts links please make them be UK-Based and not American...
    Thanks.
Or if you could tell me what keywords to type in that would be helpful also!

    Thankyou.

    Regards,
    Simon

One is just more expensive than the other, but the performance is the same.

kk - another question in relation to this:
How many pins is it that I need, and does it make a difference?

200pin SODIMM and yes it makes a difference, notebook and desktop both have PC5300/5400 but different size and pins, desktop I think 240pin.
