Does anyone know if the screen connections on the (1440x900) WXGA+ screens are the same as on the (1280x800) WXGA screens ? ie would you be able to directly swap out 1 for the other ? aslong as its still for the Inspiron 1520 model.

Also would you need a different inverter ?

    Any help appreciated, Many thanks
    Si

You should be able to swap and the inverter should not be an issue. As part of DeLL's modular platform technology theory, interchangeable parts are critical to an efficient production theory.

Thanks Powerpack, I'll get looking for a WXGA+ screen then, I was sure I'd have to mess around with the inverter too !
