So it'll be a while until I can get my new sager laptop (mid-summer), so I'm looking to upgrade my ram in my current Inspiron e1505. Currently it has 2 512 mb cards, for a total of 1 gb, and I want to upgrade to 2 gb. This is a scan that I did on crucial.com of my specs, if it helps. So I was wondering if this would be compatible with my laptop.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
E1505 can take 2 x 2 GB sticks, but I believe with the 945 chipset limitation, you'll only get 3.5 GB usable.

I can atest you can do this upgrade even thought you only will have 3.5G usable but you can upgrade. -
I went ahead and bought a 2x1 gb cards, as I read elsewhere that each slot can only hold 1 gb. Thanks for your replies though!

That was before the new rams came out but it will work you just need to match the RAM and you should be able to get 4Gig total with only 3.5 usable in XP it might be lower but W7 should be 3.5Gig.
