I recently just bought my first laptop ever a Vortex III from PCS which is built if Clevo P150EM if I've understood it correctly. However, I bought it with a regular 1tb HDD + a caddy since I had my Samsung 840 pro 256gb SSD laying around from my old desktop. My question is whether I should install the SSD in the regular hdd slot or in the caddy, if im going to use it as 1st drive for boot? Does it even matter?

    Thanks in advance guys!

In Clevo P150EM regular HDD bay is SATA3, while optical drive is SATA2. Samsung 840 Pro is SATA3, so it is best if you install it in the regular HDD bay for maximum performance.
