    Install extra hdd on amilo 1546??

    I have one 1x120gb in my amilo

    How do i install one extra hdd?

    Very easy actually. First go out and buy another 120 GB 5400 rpm 8 MB cache hard drive (I would prefer same brand).

    Then shut down your notebook, turn the notebook upside down and then use a screwdriver to open this part of the notebook:

    If your primary hard drive is located here then close it again. Then you must open the big part where the fan is located et cetera. After opening that part you should see a space ment for an extra hard drive. Install the hard drive and boot Windows. In Windows: format the hard drive (after you clicked my Computer you should see the hard drive.) It gives an error that it is not formatted, then right click and choose format.

    And there you go, you have 2 hard drives. For RAID etc. I advice you to use the search function. there are a few great articles on this forum.

    You dont have any picture whit the hutch open?

    Becuse i have open it before and i dident understand where i should have space enought.

    No I dont because I dont own that notebook, I just reviewed it once. Why dont you take a picture, I will point where the 2nd HD is located.
