I need information on how to do this. I'm sure I can do it if I can get detailed instructions. I searched on the net and only found service manuals that you have to buy.
    Thanks, Michael

is this an F or FX?
I have the FX and hopefully it is the same.
look at the left side, the purple bar above the keyboard (the one that has all the buttons on) raps down, right? there is a single screw on this bar on the left side. unscrew it
the bar should slide to the right, slide it and lift it carefully (there is a wire connected to the bottom of it) DON'T disconnect the wire if you don't need to. (i just kept the thing hanging on my 180 degrees flattened LCD)
there should be one screw holding the keyboard, remove it. lift the keboard and disconnect it.
you should now see how the drive is screwed in.
    WARNING
if you figure that you need to remove the cpu's heat sink in order to unscrew the drive ... that's what I had ... DON'T do so unless you have some thermal pads or material to reapply bettween the cpu and the heatsink when you are reassembling (pads might be a better option since there is quite some space between the cpu and sink). cause the old material would be already dry and crack up when you remove the heatsink...

    questions!

So does what I described work? or does it look totally different?
I have never seen an F series to guess if my instuctions for the FX series apply to th F too.
